Abstract: Male breast cancer is a rare but serious condition that is often diagnosed late, which compromises clinical prognosis. The importance of mastectomy as the main surgical treatment is highlighted, and is often more radical in men due to reduced breast anatomy. Physiotherapy is highlighted as essential in all phases of treatment, with interventions ranging from preoperative evaluation to postoperative functional rehabilitation. Techniques such as kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy and specific mobilizations are discussed, with a focus on preventing complications such as lymphedema, loss of mobility and chronic pain. The chapter also emphasizes the need for multidisciplinary and humanized care, in addition to the importance of health education and early diagnosis. Finally, the positive impact of physiotherapy on the physical and emotional recovery of men who have undergone mastectomy is highlighted, promoting quality of life and social reintegration.
