Abstract: This article investigates crimes perpetrated in the virtual environment against minors in Brazil, analyzing the phenomenon from the perspectives of law, sociology, and philosophy, with emphasis on the theory of historical dialectical materialism. The research is based on recent statistical data demonstrating the aggravation of online child sexual violence, with 63,214 reports of child abuse and exploitation images registered in 2025, representing 64% of total cybercrime notifications to SaferNet. The study problematizes the omission of digital platforms in protecting children and adolescents, evidencing how the capitalist logic of profit maximization through digital engagement contributes to the vulnerability of this population. The Brazilian legislative evolution is analyzed, highlighting the sanction of Law No. 15,211/2025 (Digital ECA) and the landmark decision of the Federal Supreme Court in Themes 987 and 533, which declared the partial unconstitutionality of Article 19 of the Internet Civil Framework, establishing the direct liability of platforms in cases of extremely serious content. It is concluded that the integral protection of childhood requires overcoming the self-regulation model of big techs and the implementation of effective mechanisms of social and legal responsibility for technology companies.
